The BPAC Presents FREE Film Screening

The Bologna Performing Arts Center (BPAC) is proud to present Los Hermanos / The Brothers, Wednesday, March 9, at 7:00 p.m., admission is freeLos Hermanos / The Brothers is a feature documentary about Ilmar and Aldo, who are virtuoso Cuban-born brothers, living on opposite sides of a geopolitical chasm a half century wide, but are united by music.

Tracking their parallel lives, poignant reunion, and momentous first performances together on stages across the U.S., Los Hermanos / The Brothers suggests what is possible when walls come down, and borders are crossed. A nuanced, intensely moving view of nations long estranged, through the lens of music and family.

Featuring an electrifying, genre-bending score composed by Cuban Aldo López-Gavilán, performed with his American brother, Ilmar, with a guest appearance by violin maestro Joshua Bell.

The next free screening that is part of the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers will be Lilly Topples the World on April 13, 2022. Lilly Topples the World, follows 20-year-old sensation Lily Hevesh – the world’s most acclaimed domino toppler and the only girl in her field – as she rises as an artist, role model, and young woman.
