This spring semester, the BPAC will hold weekly drama-club rehearsals for students interested in the performing arts. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays at 4:15pm in the Bologna Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

Students who participate in the after-school Arts Hang-Out: Drama Club, will not only learn techniques for acting and performance, but will also learn more about behind-the-scenes staging of productions. The after-school Arts Hang-Out: Drama Club is open to 9-14 year old students interested in developing their skills in the theatre, both as performers and as production crew.

Led by CCHS theatre director Matthew Grant, the after-school sessions are designed to function as a feeder track into the high school drama program, giving younger performers the opportunity to work on stage presence and critical dramatic thinking. The program is most suited to students looking to develop their performing talents with an ensemble.

The fee for the spring semester of 2019 is $35 per student, which will include a t-shirt. Students will work toward presenting a variety performance for parents and peers at the culmination of the semester, which is tentatively scheduled for April 26. For further information on the program and to register your child, please attend the registration and orientation meeting at the BPAC on Tuesday, January 15 at 4:15 p.m., or contact the arts education office at 662-846-4844.
