The BPAC Presents FREE Screening of Film
The Bologna Performing Arts Center (BPAC) is proud to present Well Groomed, Tuesday, November 19, at 7:00 p.m., admission is free. Well Groomed takes us into the world of competitive Creative Grooming. Think of it as bringing together the worlds of art and dog grooming.
In the documentary Well Groomed, the art of Creative Grooming is a little hard to describe. It’s almost like sculpting using a poodle as the material. The groomer starts with a poodle with its hair blown-out and cuts, sculpts, and dyes the poodle’s fur to create art or in most cases a diorama of Alice In Wonderland, the Little Mermaid, or Jurassic World. Whatever your brain can imagine, and your eye can see. Rebecca Stern (Director/Producer) and Justin Levy (Producer), will do a Q&A after the film. This film is part of the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers. Southern Circuit screenings are funded in part by a grant from South Arts, a regional arts organization, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
The next free screening that is part of the Southern Circuit Film of Independent Filmmakers will be Community First: A Home for the Homeless on February 11, 2020. Community: A Home for the Homeless, is a feature documentary about a unique community transforming the lives of homeless people in Austin, TX.
All films will be screened on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. Admission is free to all Southern Circuit films. Visit our website www.bolognapac.com for additional information about these and other performances or contact the BPAC Ticket Office at 662-846-4626.
