stanley-6Stanley Lambchop is just like everyone else. That’s the problem. For Stanley, life is TOO normal. He wants to travel the world, do something amazing, something no one’s ever seen before. Careful what you wish for, Stanley! One night, the bulletin board on the wall above Stanley’s bed comes loose and falls – right on top of Stanley! The next morning, Stanley Lambchop wakes up flat. Not just a little flat…really, REALLY flat! In a whirlwind musical travelogue presented by Dallas Children’s Theatre, Flat Stanley – the ultimate exchange student – explores the globe and learns that heroes come in all shapes and sizes.

Recommended for kindergarten – 4th grade

FTheatreworks USA is proud to present We the People, an all-new musical revue that brings American Civics lessons to life and promises to make Social Studies exciting and accessible. Students will have a blast learning about the three branches of government, the First Amendment, presidential elections, democracy, the judicial process, and more. Barreling through a variety of musical styles relevant to today’s youth, including rock, rhythm-and-blues, and hip-hop, We the People will instill American pride in audiences of all ages, and perhaps even inspire them to get involved and make a difference.

Show Times: 9:30 & 11:30 a.m. (approximately 60 minutes in length)

Recommended for 4th – 8th grade

The world famous Gregory Popovich is a fifth-generation Russian circus performer who learned early on how to develop strong bonds with animals. Popovich has rescued the animals from shelters all over the country and transformed them into stars, using positive reinforcement and working with the animals’ natural abilities to create a fun, one-of-a kind show. The Popovich Comedy Pet Theater has performed in over 20 countries, was voted “Best Family Show in Las Vegas, and has been featured on The Tonight Show, David Letterman, Animal Planet, and as a finalist on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”

picAdapted from the classic children’s book series by Stan and Jan Berenstain, The Berenstain Bears LIVE! brings everyone’s favorite bear family to life in a thrilling theatrical experience that kids as well as their parents will treasure for many years to come. Come on down to Bear Country where Brother Bear, Sister Bear, Papa Bear, and Mama Bear sing and dance in this colorful new musical filled with fun for the whole family. As always, Bear Country is not without its complications: Brother Bear’s grades are slipping, Sister Bear still has a few things to learn about making new friends, and Papa Bear just can’t stop eating junk food. Thankfully, we can always depend on Mama Bear and her loving patience to help set things right. The Berenstain Bears LIVE! will give boys and girls of all ages the chance to fall in love with these characters, just as their parents did when they were growing up.

This production of Gatsby will convince you that Simon Levy’s masterful adaptation captures, perhaps better than all movies of varying artistic merit, the elusive magic of Fitzgerald’s slim novel. It’s all here: the beautiful people, the decadence, the idealism–and the darkest fate.

A brief Question & Answer session with the cast will follow the performance.
