Moscow Festival Ballet: Cinderella
Wednesday, April 25, 2012 – 7:30 p.m.
Orchestra: $35, Terrace: $29, Balcony: $20
With lavish costumes, a magical set, and breathtaking folkloric backgrounds, the Moscow Festival Ballet’s Cinderella is an enchanting experience that proves dreams do come true. True to the age-old fairy tale, Cinderella is the endearing story of a young girl who lives with a very bossy, unlikable Stepmother and two very vain Stepsisters. In the end, the tender hearted Cinderella finds good fortune, love and happiness through her acts of kindness. This jubilant production is the work of one of Russia’s most esteemed ballet companies– The Moscow Festival Ballet. Sergei Radchenko, legendary principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet, founded the company in 1989 to create an ensemble that would bring together the highest classical elements of the great Bolshoi and Kirov Ballet companies. Under his direction, leading dancers from across Russia now stage exciting new productions of timeless classics
