Many of you might not be familiar with Bettye Lavette.  I’d like to introduce you to her.  I became aware of Ms. Lavette when someone told me about her show- stopping performance at the Kennedy Center Awards.   Her agents arranged for her to perform in New York last January during a  booking conference.   Many executive directors from all over the country waited in long lines in the cold to see her.  I waited with a group of theater Directors from California.   She was worth the wait.   Watch her exciting performance by clicking play, below.
